Throughout 2022, I have been part of establishing the new philanthropic entity re:arc.
re:arc institute is an emergent philanthropic initiative committed to supporting the architecture(s) of planetary well-being. The foundation supports a pluralistic expression of architecture(s) across a range of situated projects and practices, funds the development of community-led solutions that address the root causes and consequences of climate breakdown, and nurtures the creative reimagining of our current social and ecological foundations.
My role was to be part of taking the foundation from idea to action including finding the right legal and administrative set-up for the foundation in close collaboration with the board, creating the overall strategy for the organisation, developing the funding and program strategy as well as identifying the first grantees to support across the world - all in collaboration with the incredible re:arc team.
